My name is Jennifer Ratchel.  I am originally from Oklahoma.  I have been in Bakersfield for 10 years.  I graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha with a double major in Deaf Education and Elementary Education.  Currently, I have a 3rd/4th/5th grade class of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.  We work very closely with Mrs. Schneider's 4th/5th grade class. 

There are 5 Deaf classes on Eissler's campus.  This is the eighth year for our program here, and we really enjoy this campus.  The staff and students are very accepting of the Deaf students.  We have many opportunities to involve our students in fun and exciting events.

I have been married to my husband, Tom, for 10 years.  I have a 4 year old girl named Abigail (Abby) and a  son who is one year old April 1st named Brandon.
