2006 Leadership Conference

The 2006 BC Leadership Conference
This
was one of the best Leadership Conferences held at BC yet! On October
20, 2006, all student body officers from elementary to high school, all
over Bakersfield, spent the day at Bakersfield College learning about
Leading The Way at each and everyone of there schools. Brandon Young
(president), Angel Valdez (Vice President), Madison Davis (Fire
Marshal), Kristen Markiewitz (Secretary Treasure), Sinjin Hayes, and
Braxton Thomas (Athletic Managers) all had a great time at BC. They got
to do a lot of fun things, like, a marshmallow toss, balloon dribbling,
dancing. But then, things got a little bit more serious.
In
the morning, they went and ate breakfast. We ate delicious glazed
doughnuts and drank milk or orange juice. Then we went to the gym and
got assigned to our color groups and met our leaders for the each and
every color group. We went to classes and learned about many things,
like different ideas to take back to our school. Different color groups
went to different classes and learned about different things. We went
outside and learned dances or cheers, and all of the cheers were great.
We eat a terrific lunch of Hamburgers, chips and the soda of our
choice. After that we practiced again and went into the gym to perform
our routines. They gave out trophies for the winners. There was 1st place 2nd place and 3rd
place. We also got T-Shirts, and dog tags with, “Lead the Way!”
imprinted on it. We had a terrific day on October 20, 2006 and we also
learned the most important thing you have remember as a student body
officer. Lead The Way!
