Haiku

The Haiku is a Japanese poem with three lines, and a syllable pattern (5,7,5).

The poems are often about nature with lines telling where, what, and when.

We have to stay in
The snow is coming down, hard
It's too cold outside

The air is so warm
It's too hot to play all day
We must stay inside

On the soccer field
With the soccer ball in the rain
When I am dribbling

On the soccer field
The grass is real slippery
Easier to to score

Trees wet, smooth, and green
Water dropping off the leaves
Very beautiful

Clowds filled with water
Moving slowly in the air
Dropping slow but soft
